I am so very proud to report that my 5 yr old son, Austin, won the first race he ever competed in at Mini Indy in the Jr Novice quarter midget division this past Saturday. He took the checkers in his heat race, and after getting up to 2nd and battling for first in the main, was involved in some wheel banging and ended up 3rd. A great day none the less.

Here's where I need the help....anyone have any idea how I transfer the video to computer to put it on youtube or something like that? I'd really like to put this out there for friends and family that weren't able to attend. Thanks for any help.

I'll bet that if you spend a few minutes with your CAMERA'S owner's manual you'll be able to figure it out yourself! It will require a cable or two......

Hopefully you have a few RCA Jacks/Phone jacks on the outside of the
camera. Any kind of output jacks that allow you to play the camera
directly to the Television set is fine.

1) Next plug those jacks, (Video and Sound) to the input of a DVD
Recorder.

a) The way I do it, is to record your camera video to a DVD, first.

b) Important. Youtube only allows you to upload 100 megabytes
of information at a time/recording to Youtube.

1) So you length of video can only be 10 minutues long MAX.

a) If you want a 10 minute video, set the recorder to
8 hour speed. This will allow a DVD to be recorded
for 10 minutes and the file size will be less than
100 megabytes.

b) If you only want a 7.5 minute video set the recorder
to 6 hour mode.

c) If you want only want a 5.0 minute video set the
DVD Recorder speed to 4 hour mode.

d) If you want only a 2.5 minute video, set the DVD
recorder speed to 2 hour mode.

e) If you want only a 1.25 minute video set the DVD
recorder to 1 hour mode.

2) Note: The shorter the video the greater the clarity will be
on Youtube, if you follow my suggestions.

3) Finalize the DVD in the Recorder. This step is very important
or you won't be able to view this video in any other DVD
player or load it up onto youtube or view it on anybody
else's DVD player or your computer.

a) Make sure your DVD Recorder records to DVD -R Disks.

This is also important, don't ask me why?

4) Become a member to Youtube.

a) Place your Disk in your computer and load it up to youtube.

1) When they ask you to load up the DVD Video to youtube,
you will see a "Window" that says "Browse". Load up
the last file in that "Window".

5) That should do it.

6) When recording your video hit "Pause" when you don't want
something recorded. Hit "Rec" when you want that part
of the video recorded. The trick is to record only 10 minutes
of video onto your disk.

Hope this helps.

Video transfer is probably the least of the problems facing you. Son = winning. Dad = not so much. You are going to need to quickly come up with some pretty convincing arguments in order to keep your son from taking your seat.

First is to check componet or RCA & Audio connections to Your Computor, or a USB or Firewire cable from Camera to Computor. If not it can take a capture device to connect Camera then from device to computor.Maybe Your Local Track Videographer could convert for You, or e mail Me at cmpvideo2go@aol.com
