Just want to say I know you're gonna take a lot of flack over tonights show, but at least you tried. It may have been an effort in vein, but an effort it still was..
I'm still amazed with the work you' all are putting into that place, and based on the track record of your crew I know you'll get things figured out with the surface to make it something to look forward to again. No one else who's taken this place on has given it the all your have, and I hope everyone who is ******** can atleast sit back and recognize that fact. Just wish we wouldn't have been a victim of the hand we were dealt tonight. Anyhow, I wanted to shed a little positivity your direction since I know you may see a lot of feedback towards the other side. Keep your heads up, the 9T shall return... ![]() |

I couldn't leave Kokomo until 5, but I knew after seeing the radar at 10 Sat morning it would be a long night. They tried their best and the feature had a heck of a finish. No complaints.

Although the show had a few bumps in the road (especially the ones going into turn one) I still had a good time. I didnt get home until 3 am but the fans all around me seemed to have a great time even though a few of the big names left before the heat races even started. Goes to show that real race fans hang out at LPS. In one night, an ambulance got stuck, the power went out, the tow truck broke down and a third of the sprint cars left early....but i still had fun! Thanks to Darland/walker, clauson, Bacon for sticking it out for us fans and all the LPS sprint regulars who put on a complete show. Thanks

Was I happy with the way the night/morning went overall? Well, no. But we did eventually get to see a classic finish to the sprint feature. I also got to see some of the kids who had raced at Pike County in micro sprints when I worked there (The Fitzpatricks, Dakota Jackson, and Max McGhee). Most of all, I got to go on another racing roadtrip with my dad, and I know that a lot of folks no longer have a chance to do that with their old man.
Bottom line, we're all kind of ticked off right now, but years down the road, we'll laugh about the night the ambulance got stuck, the lights went out, and "Double-D" pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat to pick up a win. |

My dad isn't into racing, but my grandpa, how I wish I could have gone to one race with him. Closest we ever got was watching Thursday night thunder (or Saturday night) on TV.
