My number one is the event ads. I always loved to see the ads for the upcoming races. You could always tell who was trying really hard to get the word out about thier races. Was it a smal add towards the back or a full page add towards the front? Were there any races going heads up? I remember hearing stories that drivers would actually determine where to race based on the ads in NSSN.

I'm going to miss the Editors Notebook and the short sidebar stories from events, checking out car counts & qualifying results from open wheel series like USAC & WOO. But, most of all, I'm going to miss getting my Speed Sport every week. Been a subscriber since approx 1977. Thanks for the memories & best wishes to the Economaki family.

For me it will be the columns. Chris, Dave Argabright and Gary London. IMO these men are the best at their trade and now a tremendous void. I didn't always agree with everything they wrote, but it felt like it was from the heart. So long ole friend.

I suppose the Editor's Notebook followed by Gary London's column will be the things I will miss the most.

Editor's notebook for sure the most, but all of it will be missed. I am subscribed to the online version, but there was nothing like knowing it was coming in the mail. It was the bible.

I remember seeing an ad run every week in the back for a year or two with a freckle faced opie looking boy. It was some teenaged kid that said he would drive anything anytime. I thought , what an idiot of a kid. Not so now as it was Carl Edwards...

I didn't even know it was still being published? Last time I picked one up(3 years ago maybe) it seemed outdated to me. All the news in there I had already seen online! I'm surprised it lasted this long to be honest.

The 84 prepaid issues that I will not receive. Did Connie mention any refund for any issues that NSSN will not deliver.!!!

I was wondering the same thing. I've got a lot of subscription left that was paid for.

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
