i got out of the hospital Monday afternoon.

i was dehydrated and that, in combination with some of my meds, caused the kidneys to not filter all of the impurities out of my system. Levels which I normally have about 2.0 were 10.2. Dialysis begins, generally, about 6. ...Obviously, they don't want to start it unless absolutely necessary, so they didn't. Once started, you might not come off it.
In case you don't already know, I have some previous damage kidney damage due to uncontrolled high blood pressure several years ago.
