This rain is not helping out the Terre Haute Action Track any.....We had just gotten the front stretch clear last week. Turns 3 and 4 where going down, but still had quite a bit of water on them and turns 1 and 2 had very little. We could use 2 weeks of no rain to get the track ready.

I agree. I think there was one other time that I saw the Wabash higher than it was earlier this year. But, I can never remember a year when it was completely out of it's banks, for as long as it has been, this year. If the precipitation trend doesn't reverse, this racing season is going to be a long one.

I can officially say I am sick of heavy rain. It poured last night. It actually woke me up and I rarely wake up during rain storms.

I have never seen so much spring rain as we have had this year. And the melting snow didn't help matters at all. I live by the Mississinewa River and it has never been higher in the four years I've been in Marion. If the rain ever stops let's hope for a dry season with only enough rain to keep the crops healthy. Not a season like '77. New Egypt Speedway, then a paved track, ran on Wednesday nights back then. They lost 11 of 16 programs including 9, that's right NINE, in a row!
