I thought this might be of some interest to sprint cars fan.

The Montpelier Motor Speedway hosted its annual Monster Mash Event on October 30th. Jeff Bland Jr. returned to his Modified roots to compete against the 34 mods on hand. Jeff picked up a dominating win in the heat race and later handled the field to pick up the modified win.

Scotty Weir returned to the track for first time since winning his 2003 Non-Wing Track Championship at Montpelier to pilot the #14 Thompson Trucking Modified. After a bit of a rough start, Scotty caught on quick barely missing the transfer from his heat. Scotty later raced his way into A Main through the B Main. Scotty finished 16th in the A Main.

Former Non-Wing driver Scott Orr raced from mid pack to a second place finish.

Congrats To Jeff and his crew on the win. It was cool to see these guys racing the mods.

Heard the other day that Bland bought out a modified team and may run all mods next year.

Yeah, was wondering if Bland had decided to move back to mods. What was deal with Weir? Guess chance to drive a car is what it is no matter what type of car. Not bashing just curious. Glad he made the show and started to figure the car out.

Yes, we do have new some facility improvements coming to the track. They actually started work on them yesterday.
