Hessert and Armstrong at Salem on Saturday

A couple of open wheel drivers, Tom Hessert and Dakota Armstrong, will be at Salem on Saturday night for the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic. Hessert is currently in the thick of a classic battle for the 2010 ARCA Racing Series championship. He is just 15 points behind the leader in third place. Armstong, who won earlier this year at Talladega, is sixth in the standings with just 2 races remaining (Kansas and Rockingham) after Salem. Spectator gates open Saturday at 11:30 a.m., with practice at noon and qualifications at 3 p.m. A 50-lap Street Stock race is set for 5:30 and the ARCA 200 at 7:15. Free weekend camping with live music after the races.
