Meanwhile throughout the race Todd Sherman and Zeke McKenzie raced hard for the track championship trading spots several times throughout the feature. Sherman suffered mechanical issues in the rear of the car deep into the feature. Sherman nursed the car around the track the final few laps holding onto a 31 point victory. Had Sherman not been able to run the last couple of laps then McKenzie would have picked up the track championship. A big Kudos to Zeke McKenzie who has ran tough at the speedway the entire season. Of note, the street stock track championship was just as exciting with Tony Anderson coming into the trailing Ervin Turner by a mere 14 points. Anderson pulled off during his heat race which cause him to start deep in the A Main feature. James Kepling and Ervin Turner battle hard for lead throughout the first half of the feature. Turner began pooring smoke from under his hood halfway through the feature while Anderson picked his way through the field grabbing the lead from Kepling. Limaland winner Jeff Koz circled the speedway quickly chasing down Turner for the third spot. As the checkers flew, Koz barely missed placing third which would have given Anderson the Track Championship by 1 Point. Turner held onto the track championship by a mere 4 points.
