From last night. Facebook posting.

"Team Dover Motorsports, home of Jack and Trish Dover Was really torn on rather or not to post anything on the Internet, after the last accident and all the ******** we had to put up, but I feel like so many of my face book friends are family, and I know you are all concerned, so with that being said, PLEASE respect our privacy at this time. I will give you as many details as I can. This is the only place I will post any updates about Jack, as we took too big of beating on hoseheads, the last time he was hurt. I swore, if it ever happened again, which it has, and way too soon, that I would not disclose any info, but like I said, I know you are all concerned, and trust that you will not ridicule us after the fact.

Jack is at Creighton University in the I.C.U. He is in a medically induced coma and on a respirator. His lungs are very badly bruised and the right lung has collapsed. They have put a tube in his side to “blow back up the lung”. They are also suctioning blood out of him as well, more than likely from the lung damage. He may also have a bruised heart as well, but we will not know this until more blood tests are done. Both eyes are completely black and blue and swelled shut. The right eye is the size of a baseball. To be honest with all of you, when they finally let me in to see him, I just about vomited; it is very hard to see him this way. They will be doing more intense test and x rays tomorrow to determine the exact extent of his injuries. The main concern tonight was to get him breathing again. He may have some broken ribs and they are going to check his spleen tomorrow as well.

He really took a ride. It sounds like he will be in ICU for a couple of days and visitors are restricted to family. If you want to come to the Hospital you can, but more than likely you will not be able to see Jack for a day or two. We are very limited to phone availability, because of being in ICU. I will try to update here, as much as possible.

PLEASE, PLEASE keep Jack in your prayers, he really needs it now.

Thanks to everyone for all your thoughts and concerns, it does warm our hearts, plus it helps pass the long countless hours here in the waiting room, so keep ‘em coming, plus I know once Jack is able; he will enjoy reading them as well.

From Tuesday morning.

"Team Dover Motorsports, home of Jack and Trish Dover Jack has made it through the night, still out and on ventilator, and both eyes are completely swelled shut and his entire face is bruised now...he looks pretty rough right now. His blood gases are reading good this morning, and his oxygen levels are improving, in addition his blood pressure is much better too. The goal is to get him woke up and off the ventialtor as soon as possible, but will depend on how his lungs respond, and how he deals with the pain. Please keep PRAYING for him.
