Just got an email back from BMARA. The exchange goes as follows;

Hi, I noticed the Sept. 3 date for Dodge County has been removed.
If not being run then will it get rescheduled?
Thanks for your time.

Hi, Sorry for the delay.
At this time the Dodge co. race will not be rescheduled.
We're hoping next year will be possible.
The IRA Sprints will still be running on the 3rd, Dan Thiel would appreciate your support.

WOW!
NO STAN FOX MEMORIAL.
What a shame. Sure wish USAC would do something for him.
Maybe Steve Lewis Racing? I realize the car count wasn't very good the last time at Dodge county.
I really wish this would all get settled up there.
I'm worried about midget racing (in general) as it stands, without all the fighting.
Wish I had the answer. KO are you reading this?
I love the sprints as well as these cars.
It would be sad times to see them fade away.
Seems funny that you pay the same admission price for midgets and sprints yet the midget winner takes home 1000 less.
I have to give credit to the car owners for still doing it when you've got to have all that money in the car to race for less.
Anyway, I can't justify the 4 hour trip north now for just 1 race at the prairie.
So I will cancel my rooms and go to Indiana for regular shows. Perhaps, GasCity, the Burg, LPS or Kokomo?
Peace & love to all.
God bless our Troops at home and abroad.

$30,000+ for a 4-banger can't be helping.

The big half mile at Dodge County is not a "driver friendly" type track for any non wing car. The IRA guys really run it good and they are very fast but midgets are just to scary and some bad wrecks have happened at every midget show the last couple years. It's to bad but it's just one of those things.

I certainly hope someone will step up and do a memorial race for Stan.
No wonder I haven't seen much of your cars, Don.
I don't know how you do it.
Maybe I'm living in the past but wouldn't it be great to have the old engines back in em.
I don't mean for the vintage shows either but for regular competition.
Hmmm...I wonder if someone could redevelop the offy? I miss that competitive sound.
Peace & love to all.
God bless our Troops at home and abroad.

Isn't USAC still a "club"? Can't they get these overpriced engines out? They must have an idea of who's buying these things.

Would this be the Dodge County Speedway in Kasson, Minnesota?
Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
