With a full moon in the sky Irwin took his outside front row starting position and led every lap to take the shortened feature event at thunderbird raceway. Steve was able to hold off Mike Galajda when a pass for the lead was negated with the 2nd caution of the night. One red flag was flown after Jacob Caines flipped in turn four, he was uninjured. Joe Bares made a late race charge to be within a car length of Irwin but ran out of time. Bares would finish 2nd with Gregg Dalman 3rd. Galajda and Keith love would round out the top five.
