Devin Gilpin would make his 7th appearance in the Cincinnati Modified Championship at Moler Raceway Park on Friday night. He would claim his 5th win in those 7 attempts over Brian Ruhlman and Current C.M.C. point leader Matt Hamilton.

Gilpin would travel on to Lawrenceburg Speedway on Saturday night, On this night he would have to settle for 2nd as Shelby Miles who was making his first C.M.C. start would win from his 8th starting spot. Jeff Harris would come home 3rd.

At Florence Speedway it was a familiar site as Rick Corbin captured his 7th win of the season and his 3rd in a row. He was followed by Matt Hamilton and Ray Branscum.

This weekend Moler Raceway park is in action as they gear up for $1500 to win for the Mods on July 2nd. On Saturday night the biggest modified race of the year at Florence Speedway will take place. $1500 goes to the winner. Rick Corbin and Matt Hamilton have to be favorites as the only two drivers to win this year at Florence. There should be some great contenders on hand. Last year in this race Corbin and Shelby Miles exchanged the lead several times before Corbin took control for good. The C.M.C. Modifieds do not return to Lawrenceburg until July 9th.
