UMRA Hits The Pavement at Anderson Saturday Night
By Alex Wollf
For the first time in 2010 the cars and stars of the Dutch Mill Buffet UMRA TQ Midgets will pound the pavement on Saturday night at the Anderson Speedway as the 50th anniversary season rolls along. 14-time UMRA champion Terry Goff will be the man all will be shooting for as the high-banked quarter-mile has been like his own private playground over the past few seasons. However, he will face some stiff competition in the form of UMRA point leader Ron Combs, his son Jason, and rising stars like Brandon Gray who are eager to etch their name on the elite list of winners at the famed Anderson Speedway.
Last Saturday the TQ’s were at the historic Rush County Fairgrounds in Rushville where Patrick Wolf won the fourth race of his UMRA career, all of them coming at Rushville. Oogie Goff, Terry Goff, Ron Combs, and Trent Henderson followed Wolf to the finish line. Michael Koontz won the five gallons of fuel for being the G&G Oil “Hard Charger of the Race” by coming from seventeenth starting position to finish seventh. Jon Steed finished tenth and won the $50 for being the highest finishing rookie as part of the “Tony Stewart Rookie Challenge.” Mini sprints were also on the card at Rushville with hometown driver Garrett Abrams taking the checkered flag.
Kids will want to have their parents bring them to Anderson on Saturday night as one lucky youngster will win a brand new bike. Gates open at four on Saturday with practice set to begin at five, qualifying at 6:30 and races set to begin at eight!
Top Ten in UMRA Points (After Four Races)
1. Ron Combs 647 6. Doug Roland 511
2. Patrick Wolf 624 7. Trent Henderson 476
3. Terry Goff 621 8. Michael Koontz 459
4. Jason Goff 550 9. Brandon Gray 450
5. Robbie Roland 539 10. Jeremy Rainwater 401

This might have already been announced somewhere that i'm not aware of, but has anyone heard if the remainder of the show will be re-scheduled or is the whole show cancelled?
