Due to the rains already received over the last 24 hours and the National Weather Service forecast for a 100% chance of additional rain throughout today, we have pulled the plug on this evening's racing events at Waynesfield Raceway Park. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I was sorry to see the rain last night. I was planning on making my first trip to Waynesfield with my sons (6 & 3).

It is April, so rain can always be expected...

Even though I can't make it to Waynesfield too often, I am glad they hold some races on Sundays. For a newer track, I think it's a great facility. I did take quite a few shots of the track from the top of the grandstands.

I have only been once to a Summer Nationals show last season. I think I made it back to the US/Canada border by midnight. The late model feature was over by 9:15. That seems like a dream to a race fan with small children.

Nice pictures. It just affirms my desire to get over there and support their weekly sprint show when I can.

I realize posting a late model photo from Ohio of drivers from Illinois and Michigan on Indiana Open Wheel could be considered sacrilege, but I think this shot shows just how wide the turns are at this track.


I would like to make a Sunday show sometime this season.
