New to non wing sprint car racing this year. We have 410 w/ 4.86 rear end and im trying to get a rough idea on gearing for 1/4 mile to 1/2 tracks and will gear that fit in are 4.33 rear end for a midget work with the 4.86 sprint rear end.

thanks

Depending on your motor and driving style.. 1/4 mile 5.88 to 6.26
1/2 mile 4.86-5.23

I agree with dustbowl on the 1/4 gears, but for the 1/2 miles it all depends on how the track was actually measured, i've ran gears from 4.86 - 6.03 all on tracks that were called 1/2 miles. On a true 1/2 mile track i would go with 4.86-5.42 based on track conditions (tacky or dry)

Anyone runs these #'s with a 410, it'll have block ventilation very quickly!
