ASCT WILL INVADE MT.VERNON RACEWAY TWICE IN 2010


The American Sprint Car Tour is looking forward to 2 great nights of racing at the ¼ mile high banked dirt oval of the Mount Vernon Raceway in Mount Vernon Illinois. The first night will take place on Saturday, July 17th and the second date will be on Saturday, September 18th. Both shows will pay $1200 to the winner and $200 to make the A-Main starting field. $100 will be guaranteed to anyone not making the feature event.

The September 18th show could possibly be our last points race for the ASCT and will no doubt play a big role in crowning the 2010 American Sprint Car Tour Champion as well as the 2010 ASCT Illini Champion for all of the Illinois races.
The feature pay off’s will be: 1200,700,500,450,400,375,350,325,300,275,250,240,2 20,210,(15-20) 200.
As always there will be a $100 guaranteed tow money!!

PowrI doesn't show anything on 7/17 but they are at Spoon River on 9/18 so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

Last time I saw a sprinter run at Mt. Vernon, was a long time ago. The joint was a sand trap then. Is it still one?

If it was my money I would bring in our Midgets but it's not.But we are working on at least 3 more American Midget Car Tour dates. I ran there in 2001 2x and again in 2003 in a Latemodel and I loved it. Didn't do any good but we had a ball. The track was pretty fast.
