That's sad news indeed. Spent a lot of time with those guys when I lived out east. Gene was a great guy and always had the most top notch equipment. Beautiful maroon #45's. I have tons of photos, I'll try to find/scan/post a few this evening. Very sad news. RIP Gene.

Sad news, my thoughts and prayers are with Laura and her family. Gene's midgets were top notch equipment as David said and his stellar field of drivers spelled one word, success. I always looked forward to the times of year when the supers would race on the same schedule with the NEMA midgets, to see Gene's impressive team take the rest of the field to school as was often the case. The NEMA racing community has lost a true veteran of the sport. RIP Gene.

I got to see "Dumo's Desire" in victory lane many times over the years, mostly with Drew Fornoro behind the wheel. Always top shelf equipment, and always well presented.
I even got to go to one of his NEMA championship parties after the banquet, and stayed there till about 4 am or so,which wasa fun night.
RIP Gene
