I absolutely love the Praying Hands combined with the Checkered Flags that have been added to this great site. It has been proven (this Family knows for sure) that IOW Prayers work and now we have our own Icon to join these great Prayer Circles. Great Job to Chaplain Jackie for her work in getting this design created and to Bill for adding it to the list.
May I be one of the first to say Merry Christmas to all and God Bless Everyone of our great friends, family members, IOW Members, Troops and those in need during this Holiday Season.
I have to agree on the praying hands. I wish there could be a sticker made just like this symbol. I would def be interested in buying some to stick on a few things. If anyone could do this or if its allowed it would be awesome.

Pete G and the CGR Gang...
Pete,
You are absolutely correct that IOW prayers work. My family also knows for sure. Back in August of 2007 when things looked bleak I asked for the good folks to send some prayers our way. They responded and followed along on Andrew's journey and today we are so very thankful.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family Pete. I look forward to seeing the #14 machine back in Indiana in the spring.
Mike
Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
Thanks Pete for all your kind words. As much as I would love to take all the credit for the Icon it has to be shared with many people.
Pete came up with the idea for an Icon denoting a need for prayer
Posted it on IOW
I was talking about the Icon with my nephew Brian and we came up with the idea of the double checkers and praying hands.
I met Trey from SignsbyTrey@fuse.net at the burg and told him what we wanted and if he could do it, he put it together for us.
Trey sent the original design to Bill.
Bill had to change the Icon to one flag so the praying hands could be seen better ( hope I got that right Bill )
And that's how we have an Icon.
So Thanks to all who helped with getting the Icon on the board
God Bless it's every use and user.
And a very Blessed Christmas to one and all!!!
Merry Christmas, Pete and family! It is offical my phone has been ringing off the hook this morning, the first snow arrived in Oswego over night. That means the holiday season is upon us, it is hard to get that feeling here in Az.. Thank you Pete, Jackie, Bill and all involved with the new icon, it is great. I have called on the IOW members a number of times this year to pray for friends in need and those prayers certainly were heard, espically for Billy Day. While Billy remains in a Cortland, N.Y. nursing home as we head into this holiday season his family and friends are thankful the prayers for Billy were heard. Back in May when Billy suffered a bleeding stroke at age 42 the doctors were not very optimistic, the power of prayer pulled Billy through.
I wish all IOW members a healthy, happy and joyous holiday season spent with family and friends.
