People give Stewart crap about his attitude sometimes. I think this sums it up quiet well. He will take time for the fans, just not when he's "working". Sounds like his a-hole Nascar fans are the problem. Which surprises me about 0%. Have some sense and know there is a time and place for everything.

I know it's terrible if little Billy Bob Joe, Jr. can't get his cutoff T-shirt signed when he's walking through the pits at Talladega, but give me a break

Open Wheel and short track fans have the opertunity a lot more than in Nascar or Indy to actually be among the drivers, teams and owners of their sport.

It's fun at the Burg and other tracks to sit among Kevin Briscoe, Dickie Gaines heck everybody when they have time. BC is great to talk to when he can but I don't go out of my way to bother them either. A lot of times its a Hi from them that instigates some conversation.

Everyone's a person and when fans forget that, The attitude should be expected.

I got his autograph Friday evening after he got collected up in an incident. He was smiling and laughing with people in the pits. When the race was over he took a chair went over against the wall down towards the race track and graciously signed autographs. He did make the cooment he could tell this was not a NASCAR race because the line was neat and orderly and this was done on our own not forced. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does non-NASCRAP related. Like him or hate him the man has done a lot for the sport. I for one am grateful he will be back with us soon!

You know a driver that has signed 1,000 autographs in a day and doesn't get to yours doesn't make him a jerk. Don't set yourself up for disapointment and you won't be disapointed. If you have been around this sport for any length of time, you should know when and when not to approach a driver for an autograph.

Tony is, was and always will be a great guy. That's why I have been a TS fan club member almost since day one of his fan club (way before his Nascar days). It's the only driver fan club that I still belong to.:thumb:

Tony made my nephew's night at Kokomo late one night, Brad has had health problems since the day he way born, on this night he was a couple of weeks past having his foot cut of due to some health problems, Brad would come in the pits after the races to be around Josh and the race car up close, knowing Tony was who Brad looked up to and thought the world of I ask if we could get a picture of Brad and Tony together sure enough Tony had no problem stopping by to say hi and get a pict. Brads brother had taken the pict that we later found out did not come out, the first thing out of Brads mouth was Tony is a nice guy and I will get one next time I see him, this from a kid that does not know if tommorow will be here is proof that just one minute can make a difference in someones life. Tony gave Brad something to look forward too that night, as he wheeled himself out of the pits that night the pain was gone and all he could think about was the next time he might get a minute of Tony's time. I guees what I am trying to say is how many Brads are there that Tony has made a difference by just giving a minute of his time too? No doubt we hear of the very few times that someone was ticked off at him than we do the times he truely makes a difference. Thank you Tony :respect:
