All Stars Circuit of Champions, 28th Annual Hoosier Fall Classic, Budweiser UMP Modifieds, AMSA Mini Sprints
What is this? Some kind of regional 410 winged sprint group? I see Darron Clayton is third in points. Really wish he had stayed in non wings. What kind of car count will they have? |

It's an Ohio-based group (http://ascoc.allstarsprint.com/index.php). It's been around for 25-30 years or so.

guess they are affiliated with Midwest All Stars--saw them a few times last year at lburg and paragon. Danny Smith seemed to dominate last year.
Interesting to see Darron Clayton in the points there. Saw him as a backmarker in a few Woo races this year on tv. Guess he wrecked too many non wing cars so he went to try the win. One of the most exciting open wheelers out there, not always for the right reasons. |

The Midwest All-Star series is a small off-shoot of the All Stars Circuit of Champions with between 20 and 25 races through Illinois, Indiana, and I believe a couple shows in Tennessee (which I think drew less than 10 cars apiece this year). I believe those races pay $2,500 or $2,000 to win.
The All-Star Circuit of Champions is, as was said, an Ohio-based wing group with a schedule of around 50 races (I think). I believe most races are $5,000 to win. |

The All Stars?!? Are we living under ground? The All Star Circuit of Champions or ASCoC is basically a subdivision of the World of Outlwas. Stevie Smith, Dale Balney, Tim Schaefer, Tim Kaeding, Randy Hannigan, etc etc...are all ex WoO drivers. Consisting mostly of the Pennsylvania Posse.
My brother bought some tires from Daron Clayton, and he said he went wing racing because there was more opportunity to get good sponsorships and the money was better for the cost. I personally think Daron is a heck of a racer, and I'm just glad to see him in any kind of sprint car. ![]() |
