Back in the 90's when I lived in the sunshine state, a car dealer by the name of Tom Stimus owned the track. The few times that I went there, the things I remember about the place....It was a showplace compared to any of the other tracks in Fla. and he gave away diamond rings and all sorts of high dollar items to the fans in the stands. Not sure what happened to Stimus, but it was a neat place back in the day, even if it wasn't my favorite surface.

We were there in 2007 for the Florida 400. It was a real nice place, great track and location. I would buy it and move down there, but I am presently $4,503,853 short of his starting price
