Two events appear certain for the USAC SC division for 2008. In addition to the previously announced race at Darlington on May 8th I noticed while perusing various track websites that the SC have been scheduled for the Iowa Speedway on Sunday, August 10th.

The Silver Crown cars are scheduled at Iowa Speedway the day after the Knoxville Nationals (410 winged sprints) conclude at Knoxville Raceway just south of Iowa Speedway. Should make for a great weekend but a tough go for getting a hotel room. Try Des Moines. Book early.

Not sure if you are speaking of the full schedule or just the pavement version, but I've already got my tickets for the Copper On Dirt at Manzy on Feb 15/16 which (as you already know) includes the dirt Crown cars.

Actually, Bubzilla, I had forgotten about that already being on the schedule. I am sure that other dates will be there on dirt such as the Hoosier Hundred May 23, Springfield Aug. 16, and Duquoin Aug. 31. The pavement dates are up in the air right now and I am anxious to see which ones come to pass.

Having been to the Nationals a number of times, I've always encountered State Fair issues in Des Moines around this time. So, between the Nationals, the Silver Crown race at Iowa Speedway, and the State Fair, hotels will likely be at a premium....

A tough go for some of the USAC drivers also with a USAC National midget race at Kokomo that same day.

August 10 - Kokomo Speedway - Kokomo , IN - USAC National
