A big thank you to the Oconner Family for hosting rounds 3 and 4 of the Down n Dirty Quarter midget series this past Saturday. Kokomo Quarter Midget Club really appreciated it. Thanks to all the sponsors and people that supported us for the event.I think the kids had alot of fun. See ya Jody O

What a great time yesterday. Driving over there yesterday morning and seeing fields around Gas City I new I had just wasted $50 dollars in gas money. A pleasant surprise when we pulled into Kokomo, the track and pits were in excellant shape. To watch the kids improve all day on a very challenging racetrack was thrill. Best part of the day was that the place I won my first USAC feature is now a place where my son Richie has won at also. Congrats and thanks to Kokomo Speedway and the Kokomo .25 club for a great day

YOUR WELCOME!! and thank you all for making the first ever quarter midget race at the famed Kokomo Speedway a huge success!!! the track was very challenging and was awesome to watch the kids learn the fast lane!!! cant wait to get things setup for next year!! Hopefully the DOWN AND DIRTY tour will expand to some new tracks!!

I was hoping everyone had a great time we did!!! Starla ran her heart out and did a great job!!!

Also wanted to thank Jerry Spencer for the flagging Sat. did a great job and several of us to be able to work on our cars!!!

Also the best part was everytime I would get a chance I would walk the stands and talk to several of the fans about quarter midget racing!!! So while talking to one family the mom and dad thought it was great because they hadn't had a chance to do anything with the little girl because of them being laid off most of the year and this was a free event and the funny part was she was almost 3yrs old and after they've been there a while the mom and dad were ready to go but the little girl keep telling them no it was so funny. So special thanks go out to Josh Spencer for donating several shirts to our club for this event so I gave the little girl one and when she got it she acted like I just gave her a million dollars or priceless!!!

Also have to thank the Kokomo Speedway and there family for letting us put this on and all the work they did for the club!!! After talking to Mr. O'Connor he said we need to have more of these out there and that's great!!! It was also great when I was looking under the grandstands there was Mr. O'Connor carrying a trophy his grandson won and had a big smile on his face. Can't wait until next year!!!
