Bloomington Speedway
5185 S. Fairfax Road Bloomington, IN 47401 (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE) MIDWEST SPRINT CAR SERIES AT BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 18th FOR $5,000 TO WIN By: Chris Nunn Bloomington, IN - September 14, 2009 - After two weeks off, Bloomington Speedway will roar back to life, as the Midwest Sprint Car Series rolls into town for a $5,000 to win payday. With drivers itching to get back onto the red clay, you can expect a hard fought battle to the finish. With the higher payday, a special promotional package is being put together for the September 18th and 19th weekend series events for the MSCS (Saturday night at Tri State Speedway). Some details are still being worked out but the emphasis is on getting as many teams involved as possible and then getting them into competition at both tracks. To further this effort a number of valuable prizes will be offered as an incentive for drivers who support both events that weekend. To be eligible drivers must have raced both nights. So expect a huge field of competitors on hand at the Bloomington Speedway this Friday night. A close point’s battle will also continue in the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock division, as they will run for $600 to win. The O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds will also be in action for $700 to win. To be given away as prizes include: A set (all 4 corners) of 16 S Series AFCO Racing Shocks courtesy of the fine people of AFCO Racing Products in Boonville, IN. We have a DMI XR-2 Bulldog Rear end courtesy of the fine people at Sprint Mart in Indianapolis, IN and DMI in Lancaster, PA. We have 2 DT3 Right Rear Tires to be given away one at a time courtesy of the fine people at Hoosier Racing Tires in Springfield, IL. To be eligible for the prizes you must race both nights, at Bloomington and Haubstadt. Support the MSCS, Bloomington Speedway and Tri-State Speedway. Race for a chance of $15,000 top prize for both nights, and be entered in the drawing for AFCO shocks, a DMI Rear End, and 2 chances at a DT3 RR tire. More Prizes added for the fans. AFCO Racing has donated 6 t-shirts. Mike Miles has donated Bloomington Speedway t-shirts and 2 pair free passes to their season finale on September 25th. Tom Helfrich has donated MSCS t-shirts and Tri-State Speedway t-shirts and 2 free passes for the September 19th show to be given away at Bloomington Speedway. Those 2 lucky pass winners will be the people assigned to draw the names out of the hat for the driver's prize giveaways at Haubstadt. Also Phil Hedrick-Photographer of Tri-State Speedway and the MSCS and operator of Phil's Photos in Evansville, IN will be donating a collage of MSCS drivers and some other goodies. And Kyle Hendershot operator of www.talk2drivers.com in Bedford, IN will be donating a few pictures and a talk2drivers hat each night for the fans. Current Bloomington Speedway points in the Safety Kleen Sprint Car division shows Brady Short with a 44 point advantage over Jeff Bland, Jr., as the duo continue to dominate the standings. Ethan Barrow sits third, 145 points behind Short. Ty Deckard is fourth in the standings, with Danny Holtsclaw moved into the top five and sits 182 markers behind Short.
