The picture is much better than his driving at Haubstadt. He made rookie mistakes in both his heat and the feature. A shot of him spinning out would have been more indicative of his evening. Tom

nice pic, just glad to see bland in the feature, he had a rough sprint week, might have been trying a little to hard last night

You have a driver that is very good and made a mistake. Ask him, he will tell you the same thing. At least he owns up most drivers with twice the experience and his age don't.

Maybe everyone is being just little hard on Bland. Yes he hung it out in turn one, but maybe I'm the only one that noticed that Whitt was the one that turned him around. Bland would of gathered the car back together but not with Whitt's front bumper and 800hp pushing him on around. I'm more upset that the 53 didn't get time to change his right rear and rejoin the field. I just wander if a USAC regular would of been treated the same way?
