Ken Ingram-long time sprint car fan, from Forestville, Ohio (near Cincinnati), passed away January 1, 2009. Ken did not miss many sprint races at Lawrenceburg Speedway. He sat on the turn 4 side of the announcer stand
at Lawrenceburg. He was also a board member of the Buckeye Auto Race Fans (B.A.R.F.) He will be greatly missed. |

Sad news John,
I got to know Ken through BARC, and had just spoke with him at the December meeting. He was a great guy, and yes, a super race fan. Condolences to the Ingram Family & friends of Ken Ingram. R.I.P.:checkered:

This was very shocking news. He always stopped by the Motorhome on his way in and out to chat. We will miss him at Lawrenceburg. Our thoughts are with his family.

Dad also forgot to mention that Ken was a big help to our racing efforts. Ken started video taping our races at Lawrenceburg in about 1999 and was their almost every week. If he knew he had a wedding or something coming up he would start reminding me about 6 weeks ahead of time that he wouldn't be there. Then he would tell ya every week untill that week. I had to reassure him it was fine that we would be okay but he took this job serious although he wouldn't even let me buy him a cheeseburger for his efforts. Mr Ingram you will be missed.

Thank you all for your kind words. I guess I'll introduce myself, I'm Ken's son Joe. We went often with him to the Burg last year, but not as much as I would've liked in years past. Bob and Monica, somewhere at my mom's is a picture of you two that Ken kept with Brutus standing in front. I've met you guys several times outside the Burg on a Saturday night. For anyone who doesn't know Ken by name, here's a (somewhat) recent picture of him, grilling up dinner for all of us on a summer day by his pool.

Shocked is indeed the right word here. I have talked with Mr. Ingram many times as we awaited ticket booth opening. Really nice man and the very definition of a Lawrenceburg Speedway racing fan.
R.I.P. Ken. Thoughts and prayers to his family and many friends. Marv & Judy Fish |

Thanks again to everyone. It's amazing to see the number of people who knew my dad and have only good things to say about him. We'll be there for opening night at the burg, Ken's children and grandchildren alike, to keep the tradition alive. :thumb
