On July 3 the S.C.O.R.A Sprint Car Series heads to Ripley County Speedway in Osgood Indiana. This will be round 7 of the young series and we have had as many different winners so far this season. The race track will also have a huge fire works display so we want to pass on an open invitation to the racers and fans to join us on July 3rd. Plus all the fans and competitors are welcome to stop by the Grub Club in Osgood to get a bite to eat after the races. The Grub Club will be open late to serve all the race fans with their full menu and the bar will be open as well. So you’re invited to come down after the races and enjoy a fun evening at the Grub Club.
**** July 3rd will also have have a C.A.E Engines dash for cash paying a $100.00 bucks to win!!!

**** BIG NEWS**** The purse for the July 18th race at the Morgan County Speedway in Jacksonville IL has been INCREASED!!! The payout has been increased to a $1000.00 to win and $500.00 for second!!! PLUS $150.00 to start and as always a $100.00 GUARANTEED TOW MONEY!!!

SCORA is looking forward to a big night at Ripley County Fairgrounds, Osgood, Indiana. Due to the sponsorship by the Grub Company Resturant and support of the community, admission prices are only $7 for adults, $3 children 6 -12, Pit Passes are $25. SCORA has had as many winners as they have had races, the list includes Craig Budde, J. T. Stapp, J. C. Bland, Ray Kenens, Alex Coonan, and Robbie Suttleworth. There will be a $50. gas ticket drawing from SCORA in the drivers meeting. Pit Gates Open at 4, Grandstand st 5, Hot Laps at 6:30, Racing at 7:30. Drivers that arrive early will be at the Grub Company for autographs.

It is early, but things are looking good for the Osgood race. Car counts have been low this season, but it is looking very promising for this race. Drivers already showing interest or committed are Ray Kenens, Anthony Loehr, J. T. Stapp, Randy Johnson, J. L. Brewer, Dave Peperak, Jamie Frederickson, Steve Thomas, Jordan Blanton, Chase Stockon, Robbie Shuttleworth, Dusty Wright, Matt Humphrey. Who will be the seventh feature winner of the season?

If you enjoy fireworks you'll not see a better display around. Last years ran app. 30 min. non stop.

I like all of those guys, used to race with some of them. Not to beat a dead horse, but if there was some allwance/rule to include aluminum blocks, I'd sure make some of the races. If for no other reason to to catch up and race with old friends.

i still say this is an accident waiting to happen there is no way the catch fence can stop a sprintcar from coming into the grandstands or let alone stop one from flipping into the pits...and what about going into turn one hell one might end up in the side of one of those houses...just like the time we were down there couple of years ago and the throttle hung on a enduro car and he ended up in the side of one of the houses off of turn 1
