Has anyone else noticed a change in the non-wing cars bodies here lately? I have seen pictures of the kruser's car, hoffman's car and others, they look like 60's modified's with sprint tail's. I kind of like the look myself, but people ***** about wings, and with the new bodies I'm seeing you cannot even tell if there is anyone driving the car. Just wondering if the body rule is now wide open.

Body rules are very specific and are outlined in the USAC rulebook http://www.usacracing.com/images/sto..._appendixD.pdf and can be found in Section 304.

In sprint cars form follows function and the shapes will continue to evolve based upon performance.

I still love the rounded nose and hood lines of a mid 50s sprint car or midget but I build whatever is legal and gives the team the most advantage.

Hey Rob, I just wanted to congratulate you on the Western win at Manzy. You sure had that thing hooked up for Coondog. Very impressive to come the whole way through the field on such a big track.

I look forward to seeing you & your car back in Central PA in June. I'll buy you a beer if you stop by the bowling center.

Have a great off season.

PS
I like the looks of the old cars also, but the present style of the # 69 car looks great as far as I'm concerned.

They might be legal but they look like they were built by a heating contractor. I've seen better looking furnaces. Get rid of all the side and sail panels.

The Chili Bowl now enforces the USAC body rules too... Thanks to Jerry Russell's creation a few years ago...
