I just want to say thank you to MSCS for sanctioning a mostly successfuly and competitive non wing spring car series. I love watching them race and it is even better when you get the likes of Darland, Jones, and other USAC regulars racing in that series. Thanks to Eldon, Tom, Jason, and everyone else at MSCS.

Thank you to Action Promotions for doing what many people had given up on. I am so thankful that there is racing at Terre Haute. The Hulman was good even though qualifying was a challenge to say the least. I think the promotional group learns more every time they have a race. They are willing to listen to your constructive criticism, but have no interest in listening to people b_t_h. Personally I believe the shows Sunday should have been postponed again, but I understand there commitment with all the cars already in the pits. I also appreciate Tom H jumping on board and helping out. I believe he can give some advice to Action Promotions regarding track prep. I will also say Tom is brilliant when it comes to Tri State but TH is a different animal, but just very nice to see him ready to jump in and help. Thank you, Mike King, Brian Dorsett, Davey Hamilton, and Chris Novotney and all the partners at Action Promotions.

I have been to almost every single race at THAT since last year (missed the July 4th race last year and yesterdays) and from my standpoint, the track gets better every single race and races run better each time. I would want to remind everyone that Chris N. had exp. with the machinery, not track prep. And besides media (King), The only other racer on the team is Hamilton. Rome wasn't built in a day, and give time, these guys will have a well running machine.

Thank you for posting this, I could not have said it better myself. I will go to a great race at Haubstadt or another track that is hosting a MSCS race and when I get back home and get on this site I see too much bashing. I am just about sick of it as I am sure the majority of people who read this site are as well.

Note: On the fuel issue it is not the MSCS fault that cars ran out of fuel imo. Those of you who attended Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt) when they were still running wings remember Gary Hayhurst. My dad recalls talking to Gary’s Dad after a race at Haubstadt in which Gary won by beating someone because the other guy ran out of fuel. Mr. Hayhurst said they always started a feature with a full fuel load and they won some races by doing that.

Somebody was saying on another thread that Tommy Helfrich was on every piece of heavy equipment that was there, at one time or another and was on the track doing track prep. If that the case, for the Action Track's sake, lets hope Chris was taking notes.

YEs, I seen that, and if he hadn't been there, the race probalby woudn't have happened. But At the Hulman, that was the best the track I had ever seen it and he wasn't there then.

The track was poor to fair for qualifying and much better for the race. Everyone ran low so they must have thought the top groove was a little off, but overall I was very happy with the small amount of dust in the feature.

On behalf of the ILMS crate series I to would like to thank all the parties involved in getting the track raceable. It was a long weekend for everyone but all in all the racing was great in all divisions. It was fun just hangin out with a good bunch of people.
