Surprise! Kramer wins again!
Joey Kramer dominated again on Saturday
night in his Budweiser UMP Modified to pick
up his second win in 2009. He continues to
impress fans everywhere he goes. Even to
those that would not call Kramer their favorite
driver, one cannot deny how good Kramer is.
Each and every time he has come to
Lawrenceburg he is the car to beat and for
good reason because he usually wins. This
night was no different. He started from the
pole alongside long time standout driver Daryl
Herbert. Kramer drover hard into turn 1 at
the start and admitted he slid in front of
Herbert coming out of 2 to take the lead. As
we have seen so many times before, Kramer
motored away from the rest of the field. He
built a lead of almost a half a lap while dicing
through slower traffic. The race behind
Kramer was a good one between Herbert, and
former track Champions, Brad Weick, Jeff
Harris, and Rick Corbin. Weick, and Herbert
raced back and forth for the runner up spot
before Weick was able to secure the position
and hold on to finish second to Kramer.
Weick, Herbert, Harris, and Corbin followed
Kramer across the line. Heat races were won
by Kramer, Herbert, Weick, and Corbin. Chuck
Griffis won the B-Main. The Budweiser UMP
Modifieds return to The Lawrenceburg
Speedway on Saturday, May 16.
