Wanted to bump this for those that missed it yesterday. (note: I got the link from an email directly from Eldora Speedway.)

I hope everyone takes a few minutes to complete this survey. It shows that this promoter and track operator is concerned about the folks who plunk down there hard earned money to see racing and also participate. They are trying to see what, if anything can be done to put more butts in the seats and cars in the pits at Eldora. They want to know where you are coming from, what your eating habits are and how often you attend.
2009 is going to be a trying time for all track operators and promoters. The ones who diligently monitor their race fans (customers) and promote accordingly will come out on top. The ones that open the front gate and wait for fans to walk in are going to suffer.
This also goes for the folks who entertain us (car owners, drivers, pit crews,,,aka the back gate) as they will be picking and choosing more carefully when and where they race. The folks on this board will continue to follow racing and go to as many shows as time and money will allow.
The casual fan or newcomer will need additional incentive to make this a primary form of entertainment. I hope that I am wrong but I feel some tracks will not make it and will close up shop. I am also afraid that car counts will suffer and racing as a whole will be down. All of this is of course just my opinion, and who am I?:O:
