This thread is not racing related but was just wondering, what is your favorite music and your favorite music artists? I can't remember going to any race without the music crankin out. Figure it's a good time to find out before the 1st hot lap session kicks in at North Vernon on the 28th and our practice on April 4th. For me , it's classic country and bluegrass ( you knew that was comin didn't you Rudy?). Artists, well here's some of mine:
Don Williams
Gene Watson
Vern Gosdin
George Jones
Conway Twitty
Hank Williams Jr.
Waylon Jennings
Buck Owens
Alan Jackson
Randy Travis
Merle Haggard
George Strait
Most Bluegrass........And just about anything country say pre-1980 or so.
Is there any Rock-n-rollers out there?

More a a favorite style of music that a favorite artist. Heavily into progressive rock, indie rock, college rock, alternative rock , electric blues, and 60's psychedelic music. I've been told that these musical tastes are very abnormal for a person of my age (57 years old).:kookoo I poo-poo the musical "middle of the road" corporate radio stuff.
Not into pop, metal, country, jazz, or classical much.
Listen alot to woxy.com, wnku.org, and Minnesota Public Radio (The Current).:thumb

Just as with food and racing, I have varied tastes in music. When I'm on the road to/from Eldora, Gas City, Terre Haute, etc. I am usually accompanied by Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Dixie Chicks, Patty Loveless, Dave Brubek, Lynryd Skynyrd, Doobie Brothers (with Tom Johnston), and many others. The only exception is that I will not allow any of Gregg's operatic arias or most certainly none of RichH's blowhard Rush Limbaugh ranting. :wink:O::wink
