I hear this all the time. If you think of all the advantages Supermodifieds have over Sprint cars, softer tires doesn't even get close to making them equal...
ISMA + :Pressurized Wing, Lower CG, Wider Front Tires, Bigger CI motor, LEFT SIDE weight, Aero Dynamics, Fuel Tank Positions, Width, Wheelbase...
IMO the sprint cars are just much more maneuverable and fast reacting, they can be hussled through the corners.
If you want to see what cars are really faster check out the times at Berlin, AVSS were like 12.8's and 12.9's in qualifying, ISMA was 13.9's and 14.0's if I remember correctly.
