Just something I was thinking about this morning.

What do you think is the best non-wing sprint car track(s) out side the state of Indiana?

And what tracks would you like to see non-wing sprint cars race at that isn’t really know for having sprint car shows and would put on a good show?

Jacksonville is a god track but I’d add Kankakee to. Thursday thru Sunday or Wednesday thru Saturday.

I went to River Cities ND a few years ago. They had a support class of the UMSS non-wing carburated sprint cars. The night I was there, they put on a great show.

As for Davenport IA, I've often thought that would be a great track for USAC to schedule a show for the Tuesday of Nationals Week. Right after Monday's Front Row Challenge at Osky. Boone would be a good choice, too that week.

I miss the old days of the SCRA when they had their Midwest Tour. They'd make a stop at Eagle NE. Those were great shows.

Jacksonville, Illinois probably tops the list of tracks USAC sprints would put on the best show. The track lends itself to near epic racing due to peerless track preparation and overall organization for wingless open wheel racecars and Mr. Dobson is without question the finest overall promoter.

Lincoln Speedway would probably be next with the upside being the promoter knowing how to run a good show, the downside is the promoter has a habit of scheduling too many support classes.

Davenport would be an interesting destination but they don't run many if any wingless open wheel shows there and little is know of the promoter there.

Given the dismal end to the last time wingless open wheel cars were on the Fairbury Speedway schedule (the show was cancelled 2 weeks in advance originally sighting weather concerns then coming clean with claims of being owed money from one of the sanctions and fear of losing money on the show) there may be some warranted reluctance to trying to race there. The last time a wingless division raced there Robert Ballou, KTJ, Mario Clouser and a couple other USAC regulars raced there and put on a decent show but the overall organization of the show and the bleak spectator support would probably make chances of a return slim to none.

Spoon River

Like above I'd love to see a USAC Illinois speedweek especially since it looks like POWRI ended that

Do a Spoon, La Salle, Jax

I actually spoke to the lincoln promoter about trying to get USAC but he said due to the low attendance at Macon 2 years in a row it probabky would not happen
