Kenny Brown (PowrI) and Eric Turner bought it last year and welp , I have no idea what's going on.
I LIKE Macon, it's a fun track and I hope it does well but it is concerning how quiet it has been Since September there's been 2 Facebook posts about the 2 races that have been announced (Summer Nationals and MARS ) and that's it, but POWRI Midgets are going to be there for a weekend as well. Nothing about a schedule or when the schedule will be announced. Every other Central Illinois track has announced theirs. People are on Facebook asking "When is the schedule out" "What is running" and nothing Usac is not coming back, MOWA is not coming back (1st time in years) There's been no announcement about a banquet and someone had said they reached out multiple times and never got a legit answer. I think in the past they always had the banquet with Lincoln Speedway and Lincoln had theirs already I don't even think they were at the Midwest Speed Expo in Springfield, unless they just didn't post about it It getting towards the end of January and there being no indication of a schedule announcement is just weird to me and being as quiet as they are

I think he did plenty of work and put a lot of effort into developing and explaining his thoughts around this...nothing that merriam webster would really define as "whining"...

Don't know much personally about the present owners but it's been our experience the place has been run at least as well as Sarg and in some cases better. The townspeople seem to embrace the speedway, which isn't always the case. If asked I'd advise anyone who thinks Macon is not the same post Sarg that it's as good or better now.
