I hope some of you had the TV or other streaming device hooked up to the last 3 nights of Lucas Oil Late Model’s from Golden Isle Raceway. Not only were the features good but it was an exercise in race track efficiency. If I were a betting man I’d say they were practicing for more live broadcasts. I saw that this year they are going to run more live race’s on MavTv. The way they had it rolling, baring weather problems, it looked like they could fit it in a 2 and a half hour window or possibly even less, from first heat to checkers on the feature. I wish I would’ve paid closer attention to the actual time frame but I was looking for something else to watch and it was around 7:30 central. Definitely shows what’s possible with proper execution

I figured part of it was it was really cold there. I turned it on and they were interviewing the winner

I know thurs they went live for MAV Cable channel fpr the features at 8. But the LM show was run complete and first and done by 840 both thurs and fri. last night before eight.

The format is also better for bigger counts. Take three from heats and two or three from two B's The first three heats have had 20 minutes or more for the B if needed The second three heats have the time of the second B and a few minutes.

They ran em off. 602-604s were entirely ran afterward but they did qualify before on thurs and fri.

So tonight, the anthem finished at 6:45 central, the feature was over at 8:35. Over 40 cars. Impressive

If I’m correct this was a streamed event not live tv. They know how to move it along regardless how it’s broadcast. Certainly not the same efficiency I’m used to with our favorite style of racing run by “ the number one group”. I got beat up for raising this point after the Husets wknd when it was obvious the normal group was not fully in charge as far as moving things along. Maybe the challenge to be the best will light a fire. All I know is there are 14 more non wing top tier races this year than last year. It snowed this wknd and has been cold, getting antsy for the new season to start.

On the stream it said, Supporting classes are not guaranteed coverage. All I know is they've been running em off Six ten lap heats, two consi's and feature . Two hours. supports run after.

LOLMDS does not mess around....Another thing they do early in the season is NOT run any support classes. The drivers and teams know what the deal is and they are ready for it....Even last night when track was terrible and they did not start event until 730 ish, they were done before 11 pm
