Does this event sell out? Do I need to buy tickets before walking up?

Sadly, no. Lots of great seats to be had. It's a big venue.

Unless you want the premium at the top of the main grandstand, tickets are available about anywhere.. You want them. better get em now.

Sitting in your own chair on the grass seems like the best spot to me....
Bleachers are kinda tight |

I haven't been back to Eldora since they ripped the track up and started over at the 4 Crown 2-3 years ago causing an hours long delay. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Should I be worried about going again? Hated to leave that night but it was past 1am with two features to go. Thoughts?

No need to worry it will be the same dry slick track that its always is. A lot of the people that attend Eldora think dirt in your beer is good.

There are so many bleachers some of them are totally empty. They will never sell out. Have fun!

We used to have front stretch on the aisle seats. Now just get general admission. Walk in check the flags for wind direction to pick best place to reduce exposure to dust. I'M HOME, when you see people with dust masks and ski goggles you have an issue. Yes, been going to Eldora since late 60's, but each year becomes harder to fully enjoy.

If the weather is cold sitting in the main grandstand can offer some protection from the wind.
