Lots of travel in there for GLSS. Got to wonder how many MI guys will truly travel that much. Sure looks like SOD is a better choice by keeping the series focus primarily in MI except for 1 show at Baer Field.

The amount of Michigan based teams that can handle a schedule like this is very short to say the least. I agree SoD will benefit from this. It will be interesting to see how many NRA guys travel with both series since none overlap.

When I first looked at this I thought to myself, "What is this crap?" It looked like, to me, that GLSS was just going to leech off of the NRA. Last year, they kind of did that around Memorial Day weekend and the NRA had it right on their website that those races were NOT co-sanctioned.

But, the NRA now has changed ownership. MIracing (above) pointed out that no races overlap. So, when GLSS is racing a stand alone, NRA is not. And vice versa. Diplomacy at its finest. What a CONCEPT!

I tip my purple hat to these guys for coming up with a very fan friendly schedule with respect to the 360s. I still await the full SOD schedule to see where scheduling conflict could arise. But if SOD stays up north in MI, and NRA goes primarily to OH, it just might all work out well.

On a sidebar, I also noted that while SOD has a few scheduled there, GLSS/NRA is staying away from Butler Speedway in 2017.

Someone asked on Facebook about no Butler. GLSS said he has left Aug 19 open for Butler but hasn't recieved confirmation.

So far, it looks like Michigan dirt sprint racers and fans will have to choose which track and/or series to go to about 10 nights in 2017, not counting Butler or MTS. Is it spring yet?

I pieced together what SOD has released with respect to their 2017 schedule. They have not released a full schedule yet. It is coming in bits and pieces. Bear in mind it is always subject to change. The 8/4 date has already switched from Hartford to Manistee Fairgrounds.

But one can compare the SOD dates with the GLSS dates:

I am sure this will all come out in the wash as time goes by.

Interesting that Hartford is not on GLSS schedule. I noticed that Butler and Hartford have these mini series with SOD and are not on GLSS schedule. Maybe just coincidence. Tri City and I96 are on GLSS but not SOD. Seems to be some tracks choosing sides this year where last year most tracks hosted both.

I'm curious to see Hartfords schedule as of now they look like they are taking a step back in sprint shows from last year unless something changes.
