The ILSS issued a statement on their web site that dry sumps were legal for this race as per ILSS rules dry sump systems will not be allowed for this race as the series does not allow dry sump systems.. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused .

Just like the ban on Mechanical injection I think the ban on dry sumps should also be reevaluated also. Some of the newer motors just will not work with a wet sump, and some of the older motors could sure take advantage of more and better oiling for improved motor life. The weak link in many of these motors is the oiling system.
