I received a call this afternoon from the brother of Larry Lamb informing me that he passed away this morning. Although he was not an IOWer, many of you on here knew Larry, as he was an avid supporter of USAC sprint and Silver Crown racing. He was a familiar figure at many midwest venues, especially Terre Haute, where he and I first met more than twenty years ago. His death comes as quite a shock, as he and I sat together at the USAC race at TSS, and he did not indicate he was ill.
Here is the link to his obituary.

Ron,

Thanks for the info. So sorry to hear this news. Though I didn't know him well, we spoke on a number of occasions. It was through you Ron that I met him at Haubstadt. The last time I saw him was last Labor Day weekend at DuQuoin. He didn't seem well then but he didn't indicate he was sick. RIP Larry.

Mike

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
