Hey everyone, I am planning on making the trip up next weekend for the Silver Crown race at the Fairgrounds, the Little 500, and the Indianapolis 500 and I was hoping for some info and advice on the Little 500.
Do I really need to be reserving a seat now to make sure I can sit on one of the straightaways, or can I wait till raceday and be fine finding a seat? How many rows are reserved?
...
And since we have the thread open, would anyone like or be able to give me a good guess on what time the feature will actually start for the Silver Crown race Friday. I'll be driving up after work, and just don't want to miss any of the feature its self.
.............
Any other advice for me for the weekend as a whole, with special interest being on the Little 500.

Y have been 36 times in my life, and have never bought tickets before saturday. Always been on front stretch, but never in same spot. Tim

You won't have a problem finding a seat on either the front stretch or the back stretch if that is your preference. You will probably be around half way up in the grandstands though at best. As a word of advice, you might want to consider sitting on either end in the turns. 500 laps of turning your head constantly can be a real pain in the neck.
All of the seats are reserved seating so no matter where you decide to sit that is how they are sold. The only reason to buy ahead of time would be to avoid the lines at the ticket windows. If you arrive early enough on Saturday you shouldn't have a problem. Should be plenty of tailgating in the parking lot for your enjoyment.
Enjoy the race and if you have time stop by the Checker'd Past compound by the purple palm tree. Lots of racing talk and some BS will be flowing for sure.

You will find some of Anderson's finest rubes hanging out there.

Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
