I work for a TV station in Southern Illinois doing racing stories. An elderly gentlemen in our community likes my segments so after he did some garage cleaning he felt he needed to give me some things! Check this stuff out!!

Nice! I have a half-dozen Hoosier Hundred programs from the 50's and 60's. Cool stuff!

Nice stuff RacingSuperfan. It's cool to look through some of the old stuff that has survived through the years.
I recently received a 1965 Du Quoin Champ Car program from an older gentleman who wanted it to be saved and appreciated. 65 was a bit before my time and I would have loved to have seen some of those races before they stopped being part of the Championship Trail.
The Stock car program from Springfield was purchased by me and I have every program from the 1975 copy shown here all the way to 2010.
I suppose they'll make someone a nice bonfire after I kick but they are very important to me.
Just a note, check the crowd on hand as shown in the picture from the 1964 Du Quoin race on the cover of the program. Too bad these races don't draw a crowd like that anymore. I also remember the crowds at Springfield for the USAC stockers back in the 1970's were just about to capacity as well.
Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
