i know the 9 car in the last pic is paul leffler's car. this should be from 1975. we were leading the points at the burg that year and had last minute motor problems. leffler found out friday after he had the car already to run salem sunday afternoon. well here comes leffler with the car late saturday afternoon for gilstrap to run. the car didn't handle that great but we did end up winning the whole shabang.........i don't remember how sammy sessions finished at salem the next day.

Isn't the Leffler/Hamilton #9 the car Sammy rode over the fence at Salem, being the 1st driver to be fired from a ride while in mid-air?

Edit: Right owner, wrong car # it was the blue Leffler #6 in 1971...

Bruce,
That is definitely Bruce Wallkup in the Siebert Olds No. 4 and it looks like New Bremen. Saw him hang it on the wall at Winchester in October when something broke on the car. This was 1975. I think Johnny Parsons won one of the two sprint features at Winchester that day in the Willie Davis Sprinter.

Sammy tried to put a Paul Leffler sprinter (No. 8) over the fourth turn fence in the 1975 opener at Salem that day, which was brutally cold. Jeff Bloom won the feature in the Lyle Roberts roadster, but I don't remember how Sammy finished. I don't remember a No. 9 Leffler/Hamilton sprinter, but rather a midget with the same car No. and paint scheme.
