REUNION OF RUMBLE RACING FAMILY TO INCLUDE THURSDAY KICKOFF PARTY & BUFFET
Following One Year Absence,
Rumble in Fort Wayne Resumes December 17 & 18
Bringing together race teams and race fans from multiple divisions of racing has long been the premise of the
Rumble in Fort Wayne. After being unable to do that last year due to pandemic restrictions, this year’s event returns in full force December 17 and 18 inside Fort Wayne’s (IN) massive Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and Expo center.
But before racing actually takes to the purpose-built 1/6-mile concrete oval, event sponsor Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales is going one step further to bring the family back together. A
Rumble Kickoff Party will be held at the Holiday Inn Purdue Fort Wayne, located across from the Coliseum Thursday night following registration and an optional practice session.
“For many racers, this is their one time a year that they get to see each other and with the busy racing schedule Friday and Saturday, it is hard to catch up with everyone,” commented Jason Dietsch. “So, we have worked out a deal with the Rumble team and the Holiday Inn to host a Kickoff Party following Thursday’s practice. It will give everyone a chance to mingle, share stories and talk about their Rumble plans, but more importantly have a great time over snacks and beverages.”
The "
Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales Rumble Kickoff Party" will be held in the Faculty Lounge of the Purdue Holiday Inn Fort Wayne from 9 pm until closing and will include the ceremonial "Dropping of the Green Flag" for the 23rd
Rumble in Fort Wayne at midnight. Admission to the cocktail party will be a cash or canned food donation for Fort Wayne's Community Harvest Food Bank.
"This will be a great win-win victory for everyone," commented sponsor Jason Dietsch. "The teams and fans no longer have to drive around Fort Wayne looking for a place to snack after Thursday's practice, they can grab something to eat from the buffet and donations from those attending the party will assist Community Harvest's quest to alleviate hunger throughout the Fort Wayne area."
Larry Boos, promoter of the
Rumble in Fort Wayne added, "We are grateful that Jason (Dietsch) has stepped forward to sponsor this party. It will be a great reunion of racers and fans representing multiple racing divisions and a wide geographical area. For many, this is the only time each year that they get to see each other, and now it will be in a festive atmosphere before the heat of the Rumble competition gets underway. In fact, the celebration will include a ceremonial dropping of the green flag at midnight. It's going to be a blast!"
Grabbing a bite to eat following Thursday’s optional practice session has always been a challenge, but with the Kickoff Buffet, that problem has ended. One of the features of the Rumble Kickoff Party will be a snack buffet option, available from 9-11 pm at the Purdue Holiday Inn Fort Wayne, just across the street from the Memorial Coliseum. The buffet menu will include Bavarian Pretzels w/ beer cheese dip, BBQ Meatballs, Chicken Wings, Thin Crust Pizza, House Chips, Twister Fries, and Macaroni & Cheese. Cost for the buffet will be $25 per person. Patrons will pay at the door, but you MUST order by December 4 by emailing
rumbleinfortwayne@gmail.com.
