anybody have any idea on how to get more forward bite on 410 sprint, coil frt, bar rear, besides raise frt, lower back, moving rt rear in,taking stagger out, softer rear bars.
what is the lowest air presure, could run safely?what about bird cage timing or gearing. ![]() |

All the above...an option not mentioned would be easy up shocks..front shocks with a very light rebound rate that allow the front end to lift sooner under acceleration...but be careful...
Many of the adjustments you make will affect the car on corner entry, making it tighter and tighter and harder to turn....this results in the driver having to throw the car in really hard which completely unhooks the rear tires, and after that happens traction has been severely broken and momentum has been killed. Once this happens there is no chance the rear tires can hook up and go forward hard without spining, regardless of how much you have the RR tucked, or how low the air pressure is, etc etc... You would be amazed at how much more forward bite you think you have if you take some steps to free the car up on entry....if the car will rotate without breaking traction and carry a bit more speed/momentum thru the middle it will have much less resistance to going forward which will allow it to come off the corners without wanting to blow the tires off so bad.. You won't ever find a way to tighten up a car enough to completely stop wheelspin on a slick track...even a 410 running on 6 cylinders has enough power to spin the tires if you just hammer the throttle...the drivers ability to roll in the throttle smooth and feel where the limits of traction are will have more affect on lap times than any set up "snake oil" will ever provide. |

We call it throttle modulation, CShuman traction control, or the slower I go the faster I get. For every action you do to a race car there is an equal and opposite reaction someplace else.
