This Sunday, in just a few days...Sept 6

The Silver Crown cars under the lights...racing around the lake on the dirt mile is a sight to behold.
Sounds like the car count should be up around 30.

Also will be modified heat races. They have their feature on Monday afternoon

Actually it is a week from Sunday, (Sept. 6) but I'll be there for the 45th consecutive year!

that's what I meant Ron by saying next Sunday instead of this Sunday; still you make a good point of clarification

This will be at least my 30th straight. My Dad started taking me as a young boy, now's its tradition and I wouldn't miss it for anything.

How about that run by Richy Tobias a few years ago, running up high around the wall all night...that was a classic

That was the best race I have ever seen at DuQuoin.

Going to my first race at DuQuoin...my grandma always said it was the most beautiful track she ever saw...wish she could go one more time. Does anybody have info on prices, where to park, anything else worth knowing? Any help appreciated.

How about the back to the front run in 60 laps by Johnny parsons in the Nix 43 2 years ago!!! The whole crowd was into it, JP was passing 1 car on the high side every corner, only to have rear end issues I'll never forget that run because it gave me chills to watch him work that magic like he could!!! I hope for another Great Race!!!

Think the ticket is $25
Parking is i think $5

Malone's taffy is usually just outside the grandstand - awesome stuff.
17th Street barbeque sandwiches are killer
If the weather is good, I like the new turn 1 grandstands
Have fun
