Can anybody tell me what the camping is like over at Anderson. Was thinking about taking camper over and let the little one ride his bike around. The big downer is they want full price for the 5 year old $27 dollars! Have never been to little 500 you guys think I should save my money and head to Lawrencburg, I just hate the drive over to Haubstadt for Sunday. Was thinking Anderson over to Kokomo easier, I really should reward Rusidell for all of his hard work and kids are free but man that drive sucks.

Ross, We have free camping and a nice blacktop road and even a big pavillion that is perfect for the kids to ride thier bikes in. We also have free electric hookups and water hookups. If the little one gets there early enough i'll even take him a tour of the track. If you make it, flag me down, i'll be the crazy guy running in circle chasing my tail. Have fun and be safe wherever you go. Dave

ROSS,

This is a difficult question to answer. I attend both tracks and you won't be disappointed with either show I am sure. The Little 500 is like no other race you will ever see. The parade laps and the initial start of the race still causes the hair on the back of my neck to stand on end. That is after seeing 34 of the last 35 Little 5's.

I should point out that Section A is a great place to sit at Lawrenceburg. You won't need to worry about the old geezers as they are pretty much harmless. Most of the ladies also say worthless.

That being said, Lawrenceburg has become a favorite track. Dave (also known as the Head Clown Rudy) has promoted the hell out of this place and done an outstanding job of putting on great entertainment. I am always disappointed that the KISS race is the same night as the Little 500. It should be a great show with a good car count.

I don't know your 5 year old, but he might get a little bored at Anderson due to the length of the race. The Burg on the other hand would provide him multiple short races that might help keep his interest going. Either way, enjoy the races and the Anderson/Kokomo or Lawrenceburg/Haubstadt doubleheader is among the top shows anywhere around.
