How could it have ever been called racing, without any one named AJ, I even know people who are named that without any interest in racing, must be easy to remember, I don't mean anything negative, it just seems strange, who was the first driver to be named AJ?
I mean if you're in a room full of them, you have to adjust, I never called Watson, AJ, and I never called Foyt, AJ, just like the military, the last name matters!

Glad I got to see him race so many times when he was in his prime, from the dirt tracks in virtually every type of car including stock cars, three of his four victories at Indy, and seeing him beat NASCARs best down south.
Amazing that he survived the dangerous era of motorsports.
Happy birthday, A J!
