I am proud to announce that Jim Morrison has been asked to take the position of editor of the Hawkeye Racing News based in Vinton, Iowa.

Jim's photography and writing have been featured in National Speed Sport News, Flat- Out Magaziine, Mid American Racing News, and countless web articles.
He was on the staff of openwheelracers.com, covering everything open wheel, from the Indy 500 to Gasoline Alley Quarter Midget Nationals.

Jim had been the editor of the Greensburg, Indiana newspaper before moving to Indianapolis to work for the Rumble Series Of Indoor Racing in 2002.

He helped promote the Rumble In The RCA Dome Sprint and Midget races in that summer, working to get the word out to the sprint car teams. He worked in advertising and group ticket sales for the Rumble Series.

He also worked for my other sports group sales promotion company Classic Presentations...promoting group sales to teams like Ohio State, Michigan, Butler, University Of Dayton, Wright State University, Columbus Motor Speedway, and. Indianapolis Speedrome.

I have helped Jim in his photography business from Eldora Speedway...USAC Regional Series...Ohio Indor Karting Series, and Buckeye Quarter Midget Club.
Jim is known far and wide in the pits at race tracks around the country. His credits are too numerous to list.

I wish Jim well in his new position, and we will still see him on visits to Iowa...and when he returns to tracks like Eldora from time to time.

You can see Jim's first article at http://www.hawkeyeracingnews.com/editorial/

Have a good run in Iowa, Jim
