It appears that the USAC Indiana Ford Focus Series has been absorbed into a single series , being the USAC Midwest Ford Focus Series of your inquiry. This should be a positive !
The Midwest Series will gain considerably in race dates , up to 29 from the 2008 schedule of only 16. Likewise , there should be a consolidation of cars resulting in a net gain , you would think.
The information that I'm getting is that 5 to 6 cars from the '08 entry group have been sold ; a couple or more return with new owners/drivers ; the economy will see a few parked ; and there is a crossover gain from the Indiana group as expected ; this all shakes out to about 20 cars , same as last year.
Problem is , like most series , it is seldom that they all come out to play at the same time. Last season's race at Kil Kare in Xenia only had 9 show up.
